In the beginning
BACKGROUNDCreated by an international group of border and human mobility experts from Europe, Asia the Americas in 2003 to address the social and security issues that impacted on sending and receiving communities around the world. BORDERPOL™ is registered in Canada as a non profit organization since 2004 and is so governed by its Charter. Financial support through state contributions and cost recovery programing, BORDERPOL™ opened physical offices in Canada and Europe. With advances internet capabilities combined with escalating rental costs these facilities were closed in 2018.

HISTORYBORDERPOL™ developed and co-managed multidisciplinary programs in cooperation with like minded states, IGO's, universities and multi national corporate entities from 2004 to 2019. Workshops, international conferences and consultations were held in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Our projects were driven by renowned experts attracted thousands of participants for over 15 years in Asia, the Americas and Europe along with our hallmark annual Forums hosted by state agencies in London, Budapest, Prague, Washington, Madrid, and The Hague.
BORDERPOL remains a non profit organization and is supported through its membership program and publication subscriptions, The Executive Committee Members provide their time and expertise pro bono and are located in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.

BORDERPOL'S MISSION TODAY
Our original purpose in 2003 was to bridge technical and operational gaps in international border security and migration management. Today these areas are well addressed by state and IGO's through the establishment of practical technical remedies as well as integrated border management systems in various regions of the world. National border agencies and relevant IGO's are now intrinsically interconnected and the original mission of BORDERPOL has been completed.
In January 2024 BORDERPOL became a media organization focused on reviewing, analyzing and commenting on events, issues and policies that impact human mobility worldwide through the regular publication of the BORDERPOL JOURNAL. The BORDERPOL JOURNAL is a video program available on Rumble and YouTube while podcasts are available on Apple or Spotify. Additionally, print versions of premium articles and podcasts are available by subscription at Substack.
